I am on the train tonight on my way to Asheville for a beautiful spring break to see all the gorgeous blooming flowers and visit the Biltmore Gardens. I also get to see my adorable little Noah who is 4 who lives in Arsty Asheville.

I decided to enter into the Spoonflower Ice Cream Fabric contest one of my favorite older yummy designs which I had printed both in coordinate fabric and as a fun cut and sew pattern for your little diva's first Birthday Bash, My Yummiest First Birthday Party Ice Cream Cone Design.

To make this fancy couture baby outfit, All you have to do is simply order one 54" wide yard of beautiful Organic Cotton sateen printed with all directions and all fabric pieces for the adorable little ruffled apron/skirt, flowered party hat and sweet baby bib and start to sew this very easy project. I am so excited to see this picture of an adorable little baby named Sophia Rose sweetly sleeping in the latest Babybonbon Onesie design. The design her mommie choose was Madeleine The Circus Monkey, who is a little fashionista circus monkey. I now have a collection of 6 different onesies and tee tops available for purchase onesie baby sizes and toddler tee tops.

Mommie did not send me a back view of Sophia, but this little onesie is as fashionable on the back as on the front.

Baby and The Rattle Rockers, Baby and Toddler Rock Star FABRIC by Rosanna Hope for Babybonbons

I am so excited about my latest Baby and Toddler original fabric that I recently designed. I just received the yardage and the colors turned out amazing! Also the little Rockers really do make me smile and I think will make baby and your little guy smile in addition and even giggle! There is so much energy going on in this fabric that your little one is not going to know where to look first and will want to play along with these little friends.

When designing a little nursery for my little grandson recently,he loves to play guitar, I realized there are no cute baby Rock star fabric collections on the market that you can fully decorate a boys room with. So I got to work drawing my little characters. Baby is the lead singer!!!! He thinks he is on Baby American Idol I think!!!! Baby and his little gang quickly filled the nursery with attitude, loud voices and sounds and called themselves Baby and The Rattle Rockers!

BABY AND THE RATTLE ROCKERS

Of course BABY needed a rockin' drummer and jumpin' guitar player for his new gig in the nursery so along came
Rockin Danny and Rockin Eddie to audition. SHHHHH..... I know Mommy thinks these little pint size musicians are napping, but this Nursery is JAM-packed full of jiving musical sounds.

This little rock star fabric also has a couple of additional friends joining the band this month. Stay tuned. Fabric will be available for baby rocker dolls, coordinates for bedding, drapes and wall hangings. Wouldnt this make fun diaper covers? Adorable guitar and additional fabrics are in the works, so think about designing a complete nursery or bedroom with this unique original Baby and The Rattle Rocker collection. I will also be happy to design custom wall pieces with babies name personalized on them. Also soon baby onesies will be printed with Baby and his band! Surprise 70th Venetian Carnival Birthday Party

I want to invite you all to see a recent event I put on for Venetian Carnival with hand painted invites and designer centerpieces. The evening was so amazing and glamorous with the help of the perfect South Florida weather on the bay, delicious and creative foods and very special entertainment from Los Angeles , Nick Palance whose voice is simply romantic and stunning. He also entertained us with his additional musicians, Vince Morton, Pianist and Alla Krolevich a south Florida violinist. Nick also surprised us with an beautiful soprano Lindsay Scott from Los Angeles.
The hand painted invites resembled a large passport and Front had the emblem of Italy and an Invite to Italy for the weekend and the back of the passport subtly mapped the entire continent and featured Venice.

Our caterer was just the perfect compliment to the evening and from the sumptuous antipasti table to the yummy desserts, out did himself. He was Carlos from Avalanche Catering in the Miami area and I can highly recommend him to anyone in South Florida. He is a slave to detail and each dish is truly presented so beautifully.

One of my special loves was designing the centerpieces were all different and consisted of from 5-6 designed masks, some with Venetian laces, crystals, paper mache, silks, flowers dusted with glitters and hand dyed peacock and couque feathers. Each center piece was like a little work of art .

Each lady at the door was presented with one of the hand made masks and bellinis by waiters dressed as gondoliers.. On way out of party guests received bouquets of fresh flowers from the Italian flower cart at the door and small wrapped pastries for their following morning breakfast.

Speciality drinks at the bar were Americanos, Chocolatinis and Bellinis.

One of the surprise desserts were small adorable chocolate gondolas filled with chocolate covered strawberries and gelato but Carlos has other delectable treats at the dessert bar with speciality coffees for all of us.

For a little added touch I had silk fabric printed for small pillows in living room.

I love designing these events and would love to help anyone in our area with invites, matching bar and menus and centerpieces etc, so just drop me a line. Also these centerpieces are now available for sale in the south Florida area. I can envision them as stunning pieces sprayed in creams and whites and additional touches of sparkle and golds for a themed wedding party.....just add a few sweet fresh white roses .

My first printed Babybonbon Onesies came back from the printers yesterday and I am so thrilled with the vibrant colors . Each design is printed on Baby onesies, baby lap shirts and toddler Tee tops. They look adorable on your special little guy or gal both coming and going with my original art on both sides.

I love Sophia Ballerina, maybe because the background color is one of my favorites.

Each one of the designs on the onesies is from one of my original drawings or paintings.

Madeleine is a very feisty little circus Monkey and is the Fashionista of the Circus. She once lived in the jungle, but one day she was discovered by a famous circus safari looking for exciting attractions . She was hanging from a hugh tropical banana tree dressed in one of her sassy feminine bright outfits and immediately she was invited to join their entourage and tour with the circus. Madeleine was just tickled and packed up her many trunks of boas and fancy shoes and polka dot and brightly colored monkey costumes and joined the circus that very day!!!

Miss Francine La Froggie Onesie and Tee tops for Baby "Toadally Adorable" by Rosanna Hope for Babybonbons

I have spent the entire weekend working on my new collection of baby onesies and tee tops for baby and toddlers. Printing of my new collection begins tomorrow with the first 6 designs available by this time next week I am hoping.

Miss Francine La Froggie turned out as one of my new favorites. She is just day dreaming sitting on top her lilly pad sunning herself in her fun funky flower garden.

On both the back and the front of this onesie I have designed sweet little flowers and bugs that look like big flower appliques but they are printed directly from my coordinate fabric patterns, Pink bubble dots, yellow bubble dots , green bubble dots and several stripped and plaid designs, so plan on making some adorable little clothes to match like little pants, jackets etc with these matching organic sateen cottons and the softest cotton knits you can imagine.

Oh yes, if you click on the onesies front and back above you can see a larger more clear example of the funky flower appliques printed on the onesies!

I just got back my first samples of the knit in the above designs and I was so excited to feel how soft and see how beautifullythey draped. The colors printed exquisitely. This collection of onesies and tees, blankets and little accessories will all coordinate for your little guy or gal. These are going to be the most unique baby shower gifts around soon and they all come wrapped in the yummiest papers and look exactly like a big delicious Bonbon for your special gift giving and especially a gift for your little dolly.

These little oneseis are especially soft and each one of my 12-15 new designs have one of my original hand painted little friends printed across the front on them. I am working on additional little collections also with my matching fabrics like the pink, yellow and blue bubble dots in the knits for baby tights , leggings and baby bolero jackets. These should be available before the holidays .

Oh yes, baby can be swaddled in this adorable matching silky charmeuse baby blanket and you can put your special little babies name directly on the blanket This is sure to be an heirloom and from the comments I am receiving on the first ones on the market, babies are not letting go of these little luxurious "Tuckies" as we call them here at Babybonbons. They are too soft and plush!

Floral Fantasy Fabric Collection by Rosanna Hope

For the past two weeks I have been out playing in my beautiful tropical garden. Our steamy summer is finally over here in Miami Beach and it is a pleasure to step outside again and enjoy the sunshine and overhaul the overgrowth of the yard.

So I decided my patio needed a big change. My cushions and umbrellas are a unique muted lavender and white to match the tiles in the pool . I designed a new fabric for pillows and table cloths and napkins. My inspiration was my blooming hibiscus with a little different modern color twist.

My new collection of fabrics is called Floral Fantasy and there are 3 different color waves, Aubergine, Peach and White. I am still waiting for the white background to arrive from the printers, so will blog about it later in the week.

In order to get the exact lavender match to my umbrella I photographed the umbrella and then grabbed and color matched the exact shade in photo shop for the background. The printing on these fabrics turned out perfectly, is stunning and the exact aubergine shade I wanted. I added a coordinate Fantasy stripe and Fantasy Bubble dot which would be great for ruffles, pillow backs, curtains, and all quilting matching projects.

I love this floral design for upholstery and plan to have this chaise upholstered this week for my outdoor garden room.

This fabric is now available in organic cotton sateen which has the most beautiful and soft hand . Also you can have it printed in linen canvas for uphostery and quilting weight cotton. The silk is available for garments and luxurious scarves.

I am so excited to be showing you all two of my first designs I am working on that will be part of my new Babybonbon baby clothing line. Peppie La Poodle and Mc Lion are going to be available very soon on three sizes of baby onesies, baby lap tees and 5 toddler tees . Also there are matching baby bibs.

These little onesies are cute both coming and going and have adorable little designs right on Babies Tushie.

One of my favorites for little boys is our little Mc Lion blanket. My little Grandson takes his to bed every night and fell in love with it the moment I showed it to him. Journal adventure ... Faith

I just finished the second journal in the new adventure I joined on Blue Frogslegs Moms Blogs. I am participating in a round robin art journaling adventure with 8 talented artists. The journal sent to me this month had a theme of FAITH and I was to do several pages of art journaling around this topic. I have always enjoyed the natural beauty of my gardens and the peace and tranquility

I have felt when I am either sitting in my many gardens or getting my hands dirty digging. I lose myself and can think and meditate and find it takes me to a special place. I can think and plan more clearly and also find my garden a place of healing. I am always in awe of the colors, shapes and amazing scents of perfume surrounding me. Thus I focused my pages for this journal on Mother Nature. I did an original water color of a wreath of flowers with Mother Nature looking lovingly at her new baby. I found a beautiful quote to add to this page describing the Mother Nature I had painted

"Let us dance in the Sun wearing wild flowers in our Hair" by Susan Polis Shultz

I added a second page grounded by a quote by Ronald Reagan

"Gods Miracles are to be found in Nature itself"

I am excited to be posting a few of my holiday designs during the next two weeks and wanted to share Ruby the Holiday Reindeer with you all today. This was an Original Handpainted fabric design from one of my little tee shirts a few Years ago below.

Ruby just went over a Charming MAKEOVER ( top illustration and getting into a bunch of mischief with her holiday lights) and is now printed directly on little Holiday Tees, Onesies and a variety of fabrics for all Christmas sewing projects.

Custom Designed Invitations and first Art Journal page by Rosanna Hope for Babybonbons

The past year I was so excited to be asked to paint invites for several of my customers and wanted to share with you all.

One of my favorites was for a Jimmy Buffet themed party at Jungle Island. I just love anything tropical.

I also painted the menus, sign in posters and gift tags for the favors to match the theme.

My next invite was a baby shower . The theme here was Baby and Flowers Blossoming, two of my favorite things to paint.

Ribbons and Bows, Babies and Posies

They requested very subdued colors in the invite which as you know for me was a challenge as I love the hot pinks, purples and turquoises. Well, I did slip in a little turquoise, but when I was finished I had a new favorite color pallet and just in time for fall.

I recently also saw on one of the Mommy Blogs an invite to be part of a very interesting project...sending an art journal around with 12 very talented gals for an entire year. I signed up, but wow, I sure was not aware of the journey. Little did I know, I didn`t know anything about art journaling!!!! The instructions were just: Pick the theme of our journal, start with one entry and some directions for the others to follow during the year and send it off to the first person on the list. Sounded intriguing !

My journal was entitled Passion, in other words they can enter any type of art journaling entry or entries about something they have a passion for, children, family, mate, gardening, travel, food and the list goes on and on. I cannot wait to get this journal back in 12 months . Each themed journal we receive monthly in the round robin is a surprise to us and I can really say a big but exciting challenge.

Lucky for me, I found the most creative gal, Heather Reid on Etsy who made my beautiful journal from silk fabrics and ribbons and beautiful hand made papers for me. Her shop is heathers3stars on Etsy. She quilts the most unique little original pieces and has the best supplies for journaling, but mainly she is one of the sweetest people I have ever worked with. I have already received 2 giant care packages in the mail from her with every type of art journaling supplies you can imagine, tons of emails and hand written notes with all kinds of tips and resources. Her notes were my first clue that I sure was on the wrong path...thank goodness she befriended and took me in!!!

Shhhh....We are keeping our postings rather secret so we will all have a surprises next year when we receive our own journals back, but I never could keep a secret and have to share my cover page for the first journal I did which was themed "The Seasons" and I had the month August to work on.

In addition I added several other two page entries, but these are a secret. I sure have a lot to learn, but Heather sent me a few great book ideas which I quickly ordered . One I just love is True Colors. You will be blown away each time you look at these beautiful art pages in this book. Each one is more original than the last. The 12 artists in the book participated in a similar art journey, but color was their theme. Each picked a favorite color or two for their journal entries. They really inspired me and it is going to become pretty addictive craft I can see.

In about a month I am very excited to say I will be launching a new web site and custom invitation will available. Honey Blossom The Feel Good Fairy

I have always adored playing the Special little fairy at our house. My family loves when those sweet Fairy baskets and wrapped secret presents appear on their bed or arrive on their doorstep with little fairy pictures poems and surprises to help them thru the stressful moments. I have taken on just about every fairy disguise you can think of from College Exams Fairy, The Medical Boards Exam Fairy or Medical School Exam fairy to The Chemo Fairy to the Moving Fairy and so many more in between.

I am tickled to introduce to you Honey Blossom The Feel Good Fairy. I just finished her watercolor painting/illustration and she is now being printed on the silkiest Poly Charmese as a very special little blanket for your favorite little gal or guy. I want to introduce you all to one of my new little characters that I produced from a watercolor illustration., Franny . He is so excited as one of his dreams was to be able to help with the fall harvest and drive his daddy's big tractor. I am a big boy now, You Betcha!
He begged his daddy every year and this year he was big enough to climb up by himself onto the tractor. He is so serious and I think those little corn are a little worried now!

Francine La Froggie's First Tropical Storm

Francine La Froggie, one if my whimsical illustrations for my new collection of silky Babybonbon Baby Blankets looks a little curious tonight. We just got" Tropical Bonnie" storm warnings down here in South Florida. She is about to weather her first Tropical Storm

but you know

Froggies are such charming natural little creatures to ride out these storms, Especially Francine La Froggie.

I am so excited as the samples of my first luxurious little Babybonbon blankets are coming back now. I just adore this poly charmeuse fabric they are printed on. It is absolutely so silky, I can guarantee you that your babies and toddlers are going to just fall in love with the feel of these blankets. It is backed additionally in a very ultra plush fabric. I have finally made a choice on the finishing touches and decided to use a jumbo half inch cording on most of them. Each design will be covered in one of my coordinate fabric designs, it's Froggie Bubble Dots for Francine. I am using a little larger cording than these pictures display so the bright little dots will become a wider frame for these little piece of "baby art". I will be offering matching pillows and additional coordinating fabrics by the yard for all your nursery design projects. I am also hoping to add a line of baby sheets and matching wall art prints for the complete nursery package.

My new Babybonbons Business Card

It is over 90 degrees and so humid here in Miami Beach and a perfect time to just stay in my air conditioned studio. . For the past two days I have been drawing my new business card for Babybonbons.Darlin' Baby Cupcake is the star. I am so anxious to start to print them, but unfortunately still do not have my Babybonbon website up. I have been using Etsy for all selling. I am on the outlook for a web designer who is whimsical and would love to work with me on this project. .

Last year I found Spoonflower and was elated to start designing fabrics. For several years I had been silk painting all my designs on little toddler and children's clothing and accessories. I had been searching the web for a place that would print fabric in small batches. One of my first fabric was Yummy Pink Bonbons. I designed this pattern for Birthday party table cloths and it one of the ruffles in my new Kit, The Yummiest First Birthday Party Outfit. This 54" One yard piece of fabric which I spoke about in a previous post has all the Yummy printed pieces to sew and dress your fashionista in the smartest Birthday fashion.

The yummy pink bonbons looks so delicious that Baby Cupcake convinced me to add them to the new Babybonbons business card.

I think they also are going to make some fun tissue paper for my inner packaging of my new line of baby blankets, pillows and nursery accessories.

Maximilian the Dino just adores apples and on my latest Babybonbon Baby blanket design he is frolicking in the healthiest most scrumptious apple orchard with all his juiciest, yummiest apple tree friends.

Maybe this is where the old saying started,

"An Apple A Day keeps the doctor away!" Hmmmm

Maximilian is one of my favorites now in my new collection of Babybonbon Bundles. I have ordered the softest poly charmeuse this week for all of these whimsical designs to be printed on and remember little Tuckie is so silky soft that baby will fall in love with all of them. My little grand baby wants one of each.

You can see the Mc Lion finished blanket below and I am thinking of adding an additional border to frame all of these little Tuckies with matching silk cording. .

Henri the Elephant is totally in love with his new friend Mademoiselle Tweet!

This is one of my latest illustrations for the Babybonbon tops of my new line of Babybonbon Bundles. These little pieces of art are printed by a professional fabric manufacturer on the most luxurious poly charmeuse and backed with additional soft Minky. You can have any name of your choice Printed right on the baby blanket. I call these sweet treats, little Tuckies. That was the name we used in our family. Tuckie In Tuckie in was heard at bed time in our house.

Peppie La Poodle Goes to France OOh La La

I just finished Peppie La Poodle Babybonbon Bundle. It truly is the a softest little security blanket you are going to find for baby and also the most unique. My watercolor design of Peppie La Poodle is printed directly on a poly charmeuse by a professional fabric printing company and also you can have any name you wish Printed directly on the baby blanket. The backs are a very soft Minky fabric. My little grandson who is 2 just loved his last night and was laying on the floor all tucked in it....consequently we called them Tuckies!

Peppie has two snazzy brightly printed coordinating fabrics to match her design. I think these will be fun to use for all your nursery decor. Hibiscus in the Rain fabric with vintage lace by Rosanna Hope

About a month ago I designed a new fabric Hibiscus in the Rain Noir by Rosanna Hope . I personally would love it on a big victorian porch covering all the cushions on white wicker furniture with big hanging ferns.

It would also be a great touch on pillows . Here I have used one of my vintage lace pieces to finish this pillow. It is romantic and I think would look so feminine in a teen or young gals room to achieve that shabby chic look look with a modern twist.

This fabric is available either in my etsy shop or at Spoonflower presently.

It has a stripe coordinate and again call on me for the lace. Remember my last blog!

I just barely escaped from my garage where I was almost buried in bolts of lace and trim. I mean it, I have 100's of jumbo vintage lace bolts in every color and size. Although I have a passion for these beautiful little treasures , I am happy to back safely inside.

I did not find my way out of a exciting auction awhile back. One of the oldest fabric shops in South Florida was going out of business and I adored rummaging through his bolts of stunning vintage laces, trims and fabrics. He had been in business over 50 years, never measured his fabrics on the table, just put his arms out and what he thought was a yard is what you got, no arguments!! He had the goods, but was a grumpy old man. He had lace trims from the time the phone numbers started with a letter prefix if some of you can remember for ex: Ch9-0989 still on the cardboard. The place was a mess and when I say rummage, that is exactly what you did but when I decided to go out there I was on a real high! Needless to say I got lost in the auction and left with a large truck load of yummy treats!

Today I decided finally with a little help and prodding from my husband to finally share some Bonbon Bundles of lace with everyone. If you let me know what you are looking for I am sure I have it and I would love to put together some pretty bundle surprises for you at very reasonable prices.These beautiful trims are stunning for weddings and charming on babe clothing like my little BonbonTushie Ruffles I did on a few onesies and of course pillows and handbags. Oh yes, I love to trim sheets in these beautiful laces. Like I say, I have bolts and bolts and 1000's of yards. I just worked up a little Trixie the Tooth fairy pillow below for someone and covered the pillow in a collage of old beautiful laces.

A Sweet Treat for Mommy Bonbon

This week I haven`t dropped you a note as I have not left my studio trying to come up with the most interesting binding for my personalized baby blankets and think I have a solution....I will be making a fun jumbo cording covered in the whimsical coordinating farics. It is going to frame the blankets so adorably. I will be showing you all next week. Also working on 3 new blanket top designs, one I just love for a little larger Tuckie, The Toy Tea Party.

But today I thought I would show you all a few sweet treats for Mommy Bonbon, a few of my handbags which I designed in my previous life!!!! My bags were all one of a kind http://www.rosannahope.com/ Many of these are all sold, but I am contemplating designing my own fabrics for my bags now. I need to be encouraged to do it again. My Rosanna Hope Designs handbag Studio was on our 250 acre Sheep farm we lived on in the woods of Minnesota. It was stunning area and I enjoyed a beautiful studio in our log home. For many of my winter bags I used our Corriedale sheep wool, which was blended with different fibers such as cashmere, mohair, llama, and silk and then dyed into the most beautiful large clouds of wool. I then sent them to a woman in Wisconsin who had a hugh felting machine and Voila, I received back the most stunning 60" batts of felted wool . I could then cut and sew these into my many of my totes and Fluffy designs. I emellished them with Mongoliam lamb, beautiful flowers that I had custom designed in New York and other little trinket treasures . . Oh yes, also embroidered overlay on several of the desgins. I also beaded many of the handles in my studio. Just thought today You all would enjoy seeing some of these. Mommy needs a Bonbon also sometimes ! Mc Lion Proto type of Babybonbons blanket top

Hi Everyone.

I am excited to show you all several more of my illustrations that will be part of my new personalized collection of baby blanket tops. The blankets are going to be the softest little Tuckies *Tuckie in Tuckie in, that is what I always said to my girls and all 3 ended up calling their security blankets Tuckies!

Enough, As I mentioned there are going to be 12 designs in the first collection of Babybonbon Baby Bundles. I have showed you Peppie La Poodle in last blog and of course Mc Lion who is the prototype made up. I am awaiting printing of the other tops presently, but in about a week will have all samples made up. I also have matching pillows and fabrics for all of these to complete the nursery design. You will be able to personalize each blanket with any name of your choice. It takes about 3 weeks for the blanket to be finished, however I can offer you a rush delivery to cut this time some if you drop me a note.

Each blanket is backed in the softest Minky and the fronts are printed on the silkiest Poly charmeuse with one of my original painted designs.

Gracie Giraffe is a funny yellow giraffe who loves to dress up and has a fluffy flowered tail!

Jazzy Jasmine blanket top looks so serene in her cherry blossom orchard. the cutest little dollie!

Madeleine the Circus Monkey makes her debut today also. She is a feisty little monkey who got into too much trouble in the zoo and was taken back to the jungle. Along came the circus and offered to take loved Madeleine at first sight and offered to take her back to the circus . She packed her trunks with all her many outfits and became the little fashionista of the circus.

Puppy Love was designed for my little grandson Noah. He loves little puppies . This cute little puppy is perfect for both little guys and gals. I have matching fabrics available in all four color waves, pink, blue, lavendar, and yellow Double Dots on the pram to complete the nursery design for your little bonbon.

Baby Buckaroos is one of my favorites and again, perfect for either little boy or girl cowpokes. Names on this design run around the lasso. Click on pictures to enlarge and see special details

Francine La Froggie is a snazzy little frog sitting on her lily pad. Froggie has an adorable green matching Bubble Dots fabric to match , perfect for little sheets and other nursery projects.

I am too excited to wait for the finished blanket tops so tonight I want to show you all two additional designs that will be featured in my new collection of personalized Babybonbons Blankets. Mc Lion, which I showed you in the last post is a finished TUCKIE (tuckie, tuckie in to bed) but I could not wait to show you two of my other designs so I am posting the illustration as you would see them on the blanket tops If you are interested you now can make orders for these little sweet treasures now. I can reassure you that they are the softest little blankets I have ever touched, both on the back and front. I kind of want one for myself.

A Sneak Peek! Mc Lion personalized Babybonbon Bundle by Rosanna Hope for Babybonbons

I have been working all weekend on my secret project I have been mentioning below and decided to give you all a sneak peek at what I am up to because I am so excited about it...I am working on a collection of luxurious silky personalized baby blankets, . Each one is going to be very different and to start off there will be about 12 designs in my Babybonbon collection both for little fashionistas and their little guy friends. I think these are going to be the perfect answer to all the new baby shower gifts we need each month. I just have to know the name and it will be delivered gift wrapped as a sweet confection , A Babybonbon!

Mc Lion is going to be number One. He is a sassy whimsical little circus lion that all the little girl lions can`t help flirting with! I have personalized the name Zachary on this one. These baby and toddler blankets (two sizes) are going to be very unique, plush, soft and cuddly. Each one of the choices will have one of my hand drawn designs on them and will be custom printed just for you. I am also trying to keep them very afforadable . I am organizing Babybonbon Parties where there will be disounts given and giveaways...If you would be interested in hosting a party, drop me a note.

Trixie the tooth Fairy Pillow by Rosanna Hope for Babybonbons

I wanted to show you all one of the pillows that just sold in my Etsy shop. Trixie the Tooth Fairy is the last hand painted tooth fairy pillow I will be doing as I am now starting to print many of my designs and she will be available soon as printed personalized Tooth Fairy Pillows and also Yes, Tooth Fairy Tuckies! ( little blankets) .

I am trying to decide between two words for my new personalized blankets, any ideas? I thought about Babybonbon Bundles and the smallest one would be the Bitty or Bitsy , however I might revert back to what my 3 daughters called their little blanket, Their TUCKIE! I would always tuck them in at night and said Tuckie tuckie in and it became just that...Maybe the Tiny Tuckies ....let me know your thoughts. I am trying to tie it all in to the Babybonbons. They are all going to be personalized also.

Okay, Trixie was embellished with just a tiny part of my hugh stash of trims. Remember I went crazy last year and bought out a vintage fabric shop.

She is hand painted and has a little pocket on the back for that special little surprise for your little diva when her tooth falls out. I will be making little guy tooth fairy pillows again very soon.

Hand Painted Bitty Bonbon Bundles

Hope everyone is begining a fabulous weekend.

I am working on my new printed Babybonbon Bundle Personalized baby blankets this weekend which I hope to have ready in about two weeks to show here. These were inspired from my handpainted Bitty Bonbon Blankets. They are the perfect size for baby's stroller cover, car seat, bundling up baby and for sure a Sweet Cuddle. One of my favorites is Mc Lion above and he is perfect for both little girl and boy babies.

Peppie La Poodle Goes to Paris....

Bonjour...Off to Paris for the weekend, well Peppie La Poodle is off anyway. Peppie originally sassily strolled on one of my hand painted silk baby blankets about 2 years ago. She even appeared on little onesies, bibs and recently a very special baby Jacket made of silk charmeuse that I hand painted featuring Peppie La Poodle which is presently in my Babybonbon Etsy store, size 12- 18 months. This jacket is one of a kind.

Your little diva can go to that elegant summer affair and match mommy who is wearing black lace....her cuffs are made from the finest vintage black lace and adorned in pink silk rosettes On the back, Peppie is admiring her beauty in the long antique mirror. Ooh lala!

Well today with the technology of digital printing she is available of a wide variety of fabrics printed in several different sizes. She even has two colorful complimentary fabrics Ooh La La Stripes and Ooh La La Bubble Dots to help design all your summer projects. She is perfect for that little diva's new bedroom decor. Imagine picking up some fun vintage poodle items on eBay to decorate this French boudoir get away. Hey, this could be for a Grown Up too!

Oh yes, back to my surprise, well just a little whisper or it will not be a surprise, Peppie La Poodle will soon make her 2010 Summer Debut Strutting her Stuff for real in a Paris scene on my new Babybonbon Bundles, personalized blankets by Rosanna Hope!

Francine La Froggie Fabric by Rosanna Hope for Babybonbons

Today I want to introduce to you all, one of my charming little characters I am designing. Francine La Froggie. Originally I hand painted her on fancy little nursery design pillows and one of a kind charmeuse baby blankets. A few of these are featured in my Babybonbons Etsy shop.

When I received my Wacon drawing tablet last August, I redesigned Mademoiselle Francine for fabric print and now she is available in several sizes on a variety of fabrics. She also has a complimentary fabric, Froggie Double Dots for quilt backs, little pinafores and and all nursery decor ideas.

I have a little secret, Francine La Froggie is also one of the first of my brand new collection of Babybonbons Bundles, Personalized Baby Blankets by Rosanna Hope to be featured very soon. It won`t be long and I will be telling you all about them so stay tuned!

Jazzy Jasmine Goes POP ART!

Jazzy Jasmine Fabric Goes Pop Art is a new fabric design collection by Rosanna Hope. After desiging the classic Warhol design from my original Jazzy Jasmine Doll Fabric, I had a request for a more subtle color wave, so now I have 4 color waves and several different sizes of this little doll.

Jazzy Jasmine Classic is the true bright typical colors of a Warhol inspired design.
My other color waves at present are Jazzy Jasmine Aubergine, Jazzy Jasmine Olive and Jazzy Jasmine Mocha. This fabric is printed either on a cotton quilting weight design or can be printed on Organic cotton. Also available is an upholstery fabric.

I also added Jazzy in a coordinate striped pattern for her original design to compliment all your nursery designs. Very soon, keep tuned , Jazzy Jasmine is featured on one of my personalized New Baby Blanket Design Collection.

I have always loved drawing and dressing my little dollies. Last fall I entered Jazzy Jasmine, an original hand drawn geisha doll design into the Spoonflower Fabric Doll Contest. There were so many unique special doll designs in the contest. Jazzy Jasmine was thrilled , but demure when she found out she had won the contest!

Jazzy Jasmine is a large scale printed fabric with back and front doll pattern, She also can be reduced for fabric print for children's clothing. Presently she is displayed as a 14 inch doll pattern . She makes the prettiest softest doll pillow for a gal from 1 to 100 . I have heard from many customers with the ideas they have used this fabric for. One gal ordered canvas weight fabric and made a window shade from her companion fabric, Jazzy Jasmine goes Pop Art. Little sundresses and purses have been popular as well as Jazzy centered and featured on quilt projects. I love her printed on Canvas for wall decor.

Embellishment is so fun with Jazzy. One gal even beaded her eye lashes. I adore adding little silk flowers to her geisha obi and in her hair.

Morning All,
Hope everyone is having a lazy Sunday Morning with a yummy cup of your favorite coffee and the Sunday news papers.

Today I am about to make a little Dance Bag for a Babybonbons Etsy customer with my Dancing Davina fabric that I recently designed. I may add a little of my pink Slippers and Roses Classic Fabric for pocket inside. .
.
I am going into my vintage stash of fabrics to embellish the bag. . Last year I went crazy at a my favorite fabric store in Hollywood Florida. I went to purchase something there and found out they were auctioning the entire store later in the week. The owner was 94 and had been in the same spot for over 50 years. I could not beleive all these little treasures were going by the way side. Well yes, I attended the auction and my entire garage is full now and in addition a complete storage room of old laces, trims, embellishments, fabrics and braids, old buttons, eyelets in just about any width and color you can imagine., He had trims that still had the old phone numbers on them CH 3-0304 from the old manufacturing firms in NY that were no longer in business.At the time it was sooooooo exciting and I just could not do without them even though my daughter was calling me hourly to ABORT and leave ASAP, where was I ever going to find them again? Now my husband is trying to keep his patience with me. Well you know what a passion for fabric does to a gal. If you all are ever looking for little lace treasures, give me a call , I would love to share!.

I have the perfect little pink and purple eyelet trim pieces to embellish Dancing Davina and by the end of the day she will be the perfect little dance bag ready to hold the little ballet toe shoes and tutu for dancing class this week. I illustrated this little dollie, Dancing Davina on my Wacom tablet recently. She can also be a soft little dollie for your special ballerina diva. She is sold by the yard or fat quarter.

Hand painted Sea Side Mermaid Baby Jacket by Rosanna Hope for Babybonbons

It is a sunny, toasty day here in Maimi, a perfect day to to go to the ocean and start my summer reading. I am reading A Reliable Wife by Robert Goolrick, a New York Times best seller and so intriquing. One of those books you don`t want to put down, good beach reading.

Although I am now concentrating on designing printed fabric, after returning from the beach one day last year , I was inspired to sit down and hand paint this little Sea Side mermaid and shell toddler jacket. It is about a 12 18 month size.

I used a rayon charmeuse fabric to paint on and Jacquard dye Na flow for the paints with a clear resist. The paints flow so beautifully on the charmeuse.   The hand on this jacket is so luxurious. It would be precious over a bathing suit at the sea side resort or a little sundress, it is pretty fancy and one of a kind. I adore the look of silk painting and in my fabric design now I still try to achieve the same free flowing watercolor feel.

I began by tracing my pattern on my fabric and painting  on the front and back pattern pieces that I needed to cut and sew the jacket. This allowed me to place my designs in exact position. After painting the background of the front of the jacket, I cut and appliqued the fish with my viking embroidery machine. I have a hugh stash of vintage and new fabrics and lined the jacket with a pretty pink eyelet fabric and little polka dot cuffs.

This little jacket is now in my Babybonbons Etsy shop.

hmmmm, after writing this, I decided to try to replicate this design for one of my personalized blankets. I guess I may not get out to the beach today after all. But will put my design up soon for all to see....

Recently I entered a Spoonflower Children's pattern design Contest. The rules: Design a children's full printed pattern on one yard of fabric ready for cut and sew, complete with directions and all pattern pieces printed right on the yard of fabric. My design was for a one yard, 52 inch piece of organic cotton sateen. . I entered The Yummiest First Birthday Party Outfit

No I did not win, but I think I have the sweetest little cut and sew outfit for your little one year fashionista to wear to her first birthday party bash. Your little diva will enter wearing a three tiered ruffled party apron featuring Peppie La Poodle on her way to the party carrying the yummiest three tiered fancy birthday cake on her back, Oh yes, It says it all, I am ONE today! She will not be messy eating the cake because yes, she has her yummy line bib to go with the outfit. And who goes to a party with out her fancy yummiest first birthday chapeau? Her birthday party hat is complete with matching flowers which come right on your one yard of fabric. I embellished the flower with little rhinestone crystals and tuille. All directions included.

Madeleine the Circus Monkey

This special little silky blanket is hand painted with non toxic dyes on polyester charmeuse and features my original design of Madeleine the Circus Monkey. She is an adorable sassy snazzy little monkey who was too precocious and wild for the zoo and was returned to the jungle. Along came the circus safari and this glamorous, charming fashionista Monkey was begged to join up and tour. The idea was irresistible, she packed her up her glamorous line of designer clothes and she never looked back.

This blanket has a beautiful little ruffle of lavender polka dots and is trimmed in gros grain ribbon. It is backed in softest plush light green minke fabric. Sure to be your babies most favorite item to touch and also to look at. She will giggle with joy when she sees it! Madeleine is enchanting.
